BIOS Access Instructions

Dell

Key: F2 (or F12 for boot menu)

Press the F2 key repeatedly as soon as the Dell logo appears during startup. For boot menu, use F12.

HP

Key: F10 or ESC

Press ESC repeatedly at startup to access the startup menu, then press F10 for BIOS setup. Some models use F2 or F6.

Lenovo

Key: F1, F2, or Enter

Press F1 or F2 repeatedly during startup. ThinkPad models may use Enter, then F1. Some models have a dedicated Novo button.

Asus

Key: F2 or Delete

Press F2 or Delete key repeatedly during boot. Some models use F9 for boot menu.

Acer

Key: F2 or Delete

Press F2 or Delete repeatedly during startup. Some models require pressing F2 while holding Fn key.

Microsoft Surface

Key: Volume Up + Power

Power off device. Press and hold Volume Up button, then press and release Power button. Continue holding Volume Up until UEFI/BIOS screen appears.

Hard Reset / Reboot Instructions

iPhone (All Models)

  1. iPhone 8 and later: Quickly press and release Volume Up, then Volume Down, then press and hold Side button until Apple logo appears
  2. iPhone 7/7 Plus: Press and hold Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons together until Apple logo appears
  3. iPhone 6s and earlier: Press and hold Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together until Apple logo appears

iPad

  1. iPad with Face ID: Quickly press and release Volume Up, then Volume Down, then press and hold Top button until Apple logo appears
  2. iPad with Home button: Press and hold Home and Top (or Side) buttons together until Apple logo appears

Microsoft Surface Pro

  1. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds, then release
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and Power button together for 15 seconds, then release both
  3. Wait 10 seconds, then press Power button to turn on
  4. Alternative: Press and hold Power button for 10 seconds to force shutdown, then press again to restart

Samsung Tablet

  1. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together for 10-20 seconds
  2. Release when the Samsung logo appears
  3. Device will restart automatically
  4. If unresponsive: Continue holding until device vibrates and restarts

MacBook (Apple Silicon - M1/M2/M3)

  1. Press and hold the Power button until 'Loading startup options' appears
  2. Release the Power button. You will see options like 'Options' (macOS Recovery) and other bootable volumes
  3. Force Restart: Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds until screen goes black, then release and press again to restart

MacBook (Intel-based)

  1. Force Restart: Press and hold the Power button until your Mac turns off, then press it again to restart
  2. macOS Recovery: Restart and immediately press and hold Command (⌘) + R until you see the Apple logo or a spinning globe
  3. Startup Manager: Restart and immediately press and hold the Option (⌥) key to choose a startup disk
  4. SMC Reset: Shut down, press Shift + Control + Option on left side and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds, release all, then power on
